IQONIQ STRENGTHENS GLOBAL LEADERSHIP TEAM WITH A HOST OF SENIOR APPOINTMENTS

Monaco, 23 November 2020 – IQONIQ, the revolutionary fan engagement platform for the world of sports and entertainment, has today announced the addition of a series of C-Suite additions.

As the business is set to launch the hotly anticipated IQONIQ app at the start of 2021, the global team will be supported with the addition of a new Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Legal Officer, and Chief Business Development Officer.

Commanding almost two decades of experience gained operating across the international media and marketing landscape, Trippant CEO and ex-Nielsen Sports and Entertainment VP of communications, Tom Scott will provide strategic guidance and advisory to the team, leading all global marketing and communications for the group. Tom also brings Joe Nelson to the team who will be IQONIQ’s Head of Social Media, whose aptitude in driving partner relationships through meaningful, impactful and engaging content will also be a driving force in helping to steer the brand to official launch.

With extensive experience across the sports and entertainment media landscape, Adam Lovatt joins the IQOINQ team as Chief Legal Officer. Adam brings with him a wealth of knowledge and is a seasoned sports and media lawyer (LLM in Sports/Media IP Law from the University of London) with prior experience at OTRO (GC), Dugout (GC), IMG and DAZN. Adam is a regular publisher and editor on LawInSport and a Non-Executive Director of England Gymnastics.

Chris Woerts also joins IQONIQ, as Chief Business Development Officer. The Dutch businessman is one of the most respected commercial leaders is Europe, having led numerous activations and partnerships working at Heineken, Coca-Cola, Feyenoord, the Dutch Premier League (Eredivisie) and as consultant to various national and international companies. Chris’ pedigree adds huge weight to IQONIQ’s already strong growth strategy.

The IQONIQ app, which will allow for a more engaging, rewarding and purposeful relationship between fans and their favorite teams, leagues, competitions, brands, and icons, will be packed with never-before-seen features; including live scores, gamification, messaging, merchandise, club stores, and a host of prizes and exclusive access. The app is scheduled to be available to download at the start of 2021.
